![]() ![]() It also says my Intel Graphics were also unknown !Īny info on a suitable easy to use programme to "Speccy" would be welcome. Speccy says I have an SSD but further info "unknown", probably because its a three letter word drive "svd" or something similar. I thought drives roughly went IDE, Sata Sata SSD ! Speccy, developed by Piriform, is a freeware utility software and runs under Microsoft Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7, Vista and XP for both IA-32 and 圆4 versions of these operating systems, 3 4 which shows the user information about hardware and software of the computer. ![]() Then there is "Belarc Advisor" which is useful as it keeps updated but is limited in what it can produce in the way of info.Īs an example for "Speccy" I have one of those sticks for a hard drive. I have in the past tried "Winaudit" but this at first glance doesn't seem to have been updated in several years. Run Speccy, and its summary screen gives the basics, including your CPU type. I know i could just go to the manufacturers site to get some of the info but would prefer a freeware programme like "Speccy" that gives a report. Speccy gives so much detailed, technical information about hardware, it could choke even the mind of a hard-core techie. ![]() I now have a new computer and would like to get the same information but Speccy gives me "unknown" comments for various things. The programme has not been updated in over 3 years but it did not affect me as my computers were older etc. Until my recent purchase, my laptops were all approx 8-10 years old and I used "Speccy" to produce an inventory. ![]()
